In my life as a wedding photographer I’m fortunate to get to visit some really special venues; hotels, country houses, private houses and everything in between. On Saturday I had the pleasure of visiting Bristol’s newest country house wedding venue which has been lovingly restored and given a make over, making it a very stylish and elegant wedding venue.
Backwell House Wedding Photographer
The daffodil filled driveway leads you to this 19th century Georgian house which sits nestled in South Bristol, just past Long Ashton. I wandered around and was really impressed, each room was filled with instagram-worthy details, nooks and quirky crannies. Exploring the gardens I found large flowering magnolia trees, a walled kitchen garden and uninterrupted views of the Somerset hills. Perfect for couple photographs.
It has an exclusive feel and the careful thought that has clearly gone in to its restoration are pleasing to see. Rooms feel comfy, the bar is amazing and I left with no doubt that Backwell House will now be the setting for some very special weddings and cracking parties. Small weddings of approx 60 guests can be catered for indoors or if you having a larger wedding then you can hire a tipee or marquee for the lawn.
