Wedding Photography Questions
You are a Wedding Photographer in Bristol, will you travel further to cover our wedding?
I live in Bristol however I can and will travel anywhere to photograph your wedding. I regularly travel out of the area to cover weddings and love the variety this brings, I’ll even head overseas if you need me to!
Are you insured?
Yes, with both professional indemnity and public liability insurance. I’ll also always have a back-up camera with me on your wedding day – just incase!
How do we book you as our wedding photographer?
Please get in touch and I will confirm whether I am available on your wedding date. I’d love to meet up with you to discuss your wedding photography in more detail and if you would like me to I can show you some real wedding albums I’ve designed. To secure your wedding date I require a completed signed contract and payment of a non-refundable deposit of £200 to secure your booking.
Should we have a pre-wedding shoot?
It’s not essential but it is a great way for us to get to know each other better and get you out in front of the camera before your big day. People often say to me ‘I hate having my photograph taken’ so getting yourselves in front of the camera is a good way of calming your nerves, relaxing you in front on the camera plus you’ll receive some really special photographs.
When can we see our wedding images?
I aim to provide you with your fully edited wedding images within five weeks. Your wedding photographs will be uploaded to a password-protected gallery and also provided to you as hi-res files on disc.
Can you Photoshop my head on to a different body ? Make me look younger?
You’d be surprised how many times I get asked to do strange things like this. My answer will always be no. We all have bits of ourselves we don’t like (I’m not sharing mine!) be it wonky eyebrows, crooked teeth, chubby cheeks or ears that you just don’t like. The person you are marrying loves you as you are; they see your face in all its glory every day. On your wedding day they are going to see your face happy, smiling and enjoying the day, so that is what I’ll photograph. I want you to look and feel as beautiful as possible on your day and you will. So don’t ask me to Photoshop your legs to be longer because you’ll know what I’ll say!
Do you shoot other types of photography aside from weddings?
Yes, I also shoot corporate work (products / headshots / client website imagery / interiors etc), family portraits and styled shoots. Most of this type of work happens midweek, as my weekends are usually booked with weddings.
do we need to feed you?
If I’m going to be at your wedding for more than eight hours then I do ask in my contract for some food to be provided. I eat at the same time as you and your guests are sitting down for food. I’ll take myself off somewhere quiet and recharge my camera batteries and myself, being fed keeps my energy levels up for the evening shenanigans!
Which wedding venues have you attended as the wedding photographer?
I have been very fortunate during my years as wedding photographer to have attended and taken wedding photographs at most of the best wedding venues in the South West UK. Take a look around my blog to check out the venues I’ve photographed and I look forward to hearing from you!
