Priston Mill Bath Wedding with handmade bunting and VW camper transport

At the end of January the sun finally came out, waking us all up from the depths of Winter and signalling it was time to smile and celebrate a very special wedding. The Priston Mill Bath wedding of Julia and David.   I already think marriage is amazing and to see Julia marry David I felt very lucky, both are really genuine people and clearly care for each other so much.

Priston Mill Bath WeddingI met Julia many years ago – in my life before photography – when she was a recruitment consultant and I worked in HR.  She’d call me up and discuss possible candidates with me and was one of the few who didn’t give me a really hard sell, just her honest opinion on her candidate. Some years later, when both our lives have changed since our early contact, she contacted me and mentioned her brother Will was getting married to Tricia.  I happily shot their Bath Guildhall wedding in 2013, so to be asked back to join this lovely bunch again was a pleasure.

Julia got ready in Bath, with invaluable support provided by her bridesmaid and old university pal, ‘Juicy’.    Once ready she travelled in style in a cool VW Camper through Bath and down some winding country lanes to Priston Mill.  We were really lucky with the weather, perfect blue sky and Priston Mill was just the best venue for them.

After the ceremony it was warm mulled cider all round which warmed everyone up ready for some confetti throwing.  The perfect day was rounded off with live music by Five Smooth Dudes.  This was the second time I’ve heard them play at a wedding and they had the dance floor filled in seconds – ELO’s Mr Blue Sky in particular literally blew the roof off.

So here’s a small selection of my favourites, big thanks to my second shooter Clare West for her brilliant support on the day and for keeping me topped up with dried pineapple!

Thank you so much for having me guys – it was brilliant!
